The Entomologist, Original Watercolor Painting, Framed, Butterfly art, wall Art, conversation piece,
$3,445.00
This is a story of hope.... The Entomologist is my child who stops to pick up every earthworm displaced by rains, she loves to watch the ants and bees as they go about their work. She is almost always bent over, peering at a plant or insect. Here, she is in front of a ruined brick wall gazing at a blue butterfly. The butterfly is the Battus Philenor Hirsuta, the California Pipevine Swallowtail who knows a thing or two about hope. This butterfly had nearly disappeared in parts of California but was almost single-handedly brought back by one man who dedicated himself and his backyard to their cause.
This piece is dedicated to all those who champion the tiny things that most of us walk past. It speaks of my hopes for the future, that our children will be better stewards of this planet than we ever thought of being.
The Entomologist is an original watercolor, in a custom black frame. The deckled edge shows over a rich black velvet mat. This piece would make a striking centerpiece for any room. It has been in two exhibits in the last year and is ready for a new home. Is there room in your heart and home for a bit more hope?
